Members of Memorial University's group health plan are advised that effective May 1, 2013, Medavie Blue Cross will reimburse claims for orthopedic footwear and orthotics only where these items are supplied by a provider approved by Medavie Blue Cross. To find out if a provider is approved, plan members must call 1-800-667-4511. These products continue to be eligible when prescribed by a Medical Doctor, Podiatrist, Chiropodist, Rheumatologist or Orthopedic Surgeon.
