On the April 3, 2025 pay period, incorrect deductions were taken for Long Term Disability (LTD), health, dental and travel for active employees. On the April 17, 2025 pay period, a credit for the over deduction will be issued for health, dental and travel. An update on the refund for LTD, which will vary based on an employee’s annual salary, will be provided shortly.
Memorial University’s payroll team has been hearing from a number of employees and retirees that their T4/T4A/NR4 slip information is not showing up in their CRA My Account and their information is not available to auto-fill their tax returns. The university’s payroll team uploaded this information to the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) on Feb. 24, 2025; however, once uploaded, CRA needs to process this information. Unfortunately, CRA is having technical issues and employers across the country are experiencing delays with their employees’ information being processed.
The Department of Human Resources has partnered with the Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) to develop a technology solution to improve client service and create efficiencies. As of April 14, 2025, the Department of Human Resources is switching to a customized OnBase solution for the submission of requests for Human Resources assistance.
