The Friends of the Garden (FOG) Horticultural Group is holding their annual Fall Plant Sale on Saturday, September 7, from 9:00am-12:00noon, at the Botanical Garden. The plant inventory for the sale is now available on our website - FOG Plant Sale Inventory Fall 2024

Labour Day Weekend 2024
The Botanical Garden will be open our usual hours on Saturday, August 31 (9:30am-5:00pm).
We will be closed Sunday & Monday, September 1&2.
We wish you all a wonderful and restful final long weekend of the summer!

The Botanical Garden will be open to the public Thursday, June 27, 2024.
Garden Closure, June 25-28, 2024
Due to ongoing construction, the Botanical Garden will be closed to the public from Tuesday, June 25 through Friday, June 28, 2024. This construction and closure does not affect our summer camp.

Delayed Season Opening
We are excited to welcome you back to the Garden for the 2024 season, and we have lots of great things in store! Unfortunately, due to upgrades required to our septic system and well, we are unable to open as planned on May 1. Please stay tuned! We will announce our new opening date as soon as we are able.

Call for Artists: Outdoor Art Exhibit at the Botanical Garden
Call for Artists - Outdoor Art Exhibit at Memorial University Botanical Garden
Memorial University Botanical Garden invites proposals from artists interested in contributing to an outdoor art exhibit, which will be open to the public from July-September, 2024. Titled Windows on the Garden, this exhibit will celebrate Newfoundland & Labrador’s Year of the Arts. Up to fifteen repurposed wooden frames and/or windows will be provided as canvases. Completed art pieces will be on display throughout our cultivated and naturalized areas during the exhibit period.

Due to unexpected and urgent maintenance needed at the Field Centre, we will have a delayed opening on Tuesday, July 18. Actual opening time is TBD. Please check back here or Facebook for updates.
Postmaster's Garden Cafe will remain closed today.
Our summer camp programs are unaffected by this maintencance and delayed opening.
