Explore the Ocean in Our Own Backyard!
Be a scientist for the day! Come to Middle Cove Beach and carry out a shoreline survey of biodiversity. Meet the harp seals at the Ocean Sciences Centre in Logy Bay. Come onboard the M/V Coastal Explorer in Holyrood.
Get a rare view of the underwater world as you ‘FLY’ a remotely operated vehicle (ROV). Get up close and personal with local species such as sea stars and urchins at the Petty Harbour Mini Aquarium. Bring your waders and rubber boots to Newman Sound in Terra Nova National Park and explore the estuary habitat of Saltons Brook.
