Supporting our People Sessions
The Department of Human Resources is holding a week of informative online sessions from Monday, June 6 to Friday, June 10. Sign up for one session or many depending on your interest in the various topics! Sessions will cover a range of employment related topics such as policy information, recruitment, retention, benefits, wellness and recognition.
Below is the agenda for the week along with information on how to register for each session. All sessions will be offered online. If you require accommodations, such as ASL interpreting or real-time captioning, please email equity@mun.ca.

General Policy Overview, presenter: Kayla Hynes
This session will be helpful for administrators and employees in navigating human resource policy. Learn why human resource policies are important, the policy framework process for developing human resource policies, and where to locate relevant human resource policies, procedures and guidelines.

Respectful Workplace Policy, presenters: Michael Kielly and Roxanne Jackson
This session is for any employee looking to gain a deeper understanding of the Respectful Workplace Policy. This session includes an overview of guiding principles, latest legislation, definition of harassment and the process for bringing forward concerns.

Compensation Policy and Grant Funded Guidelines, presenters: Emily Wooley and Kim Blanchard
This session focuses on the university’s compensation policy for non-bargaining, management and professional, and leadership groups and discuss the Guidelines for Employment of Grant Employees. Targeted towards administrators.

Introduction to the Mental Health Toolkit microsite. This site provides links to resources and information (including emergency contact information) available through Memorial, the government and in the community. Resources can be searched based on the mental health continuum (heathy, reacting, injured and ill).
