Summer hours

Effective Monday, June 5, 2023, to Sunday, Sept. 3, 2023, summer hours for all administrative, technical and technical support employees will be 32½ hours per week, unless otherwise stated in your collective agreement.

Standard hours for all administrative employees during the above period will be from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., with a one-hour lunch break. Standard hours for all technical and technical support personnel during the above period will be set by the department in consultation with the employees concerned. 

Holiday schedule

Please be advised that the approved 2023 schedule of Memorial University holidays for all administrative, technical and technical support staff is as follows:

1. New Year’s Day - Monday, Jan. 2
2. January Holiday - Tuesday, Jan. 3
3. Mid-March - Monday, March 20
4. Good Friday - Friday, April 7
5. Victoria (Commonwealth) Day - Monday, May 22
6. Mid-June - Monday, June 26
7. Memorial Day - Monday, July 3
8. Mid-July - Monday, July 10
9. Regatta Day - Wednesday, Aug. 2 (or as designated)
10. Labour Day - Monday, Sept. 4
11. National Day for Truth and Reconciliation - Monday, Oct.2
12. Thanksgiving - Monday, Oct. 9
13. Remembrance Day - Monday, Nov. 13
14. Christmas Day - Monday, Dec. 25
15. Boxing Day - Tuesday, Dec. 26

In the case of the Grenfell Campus, the Corner Brook Winter Carnival scheduled for Monday, Feb.20, 2023, will be substituted for Regatta Day.
