The Student Design Hub can provide access to the following services:

• Meeting Space: The SDH Lab can be booked after hours to facilitate student team meetings. At least one team member must have after-hours access and is required to be present for the full duration of the meeting. Teams may need to cohabitate the space during after-hours use. To book your team meeting, register and book the space on Skedda or contact the Engineer in Residence. 

• Technician Overtime: available on an as-needed basis. If technician support is needed to support your project's manufacturing or assembly, please reach out to the Engineer in Residence.

• Research Facilities: access to specific spaces within the Faculty of Engineering can be requested on an as-needed basis. If your project requires access to a certain facility to support testing, please reach out to the engineer in residence. Some examples include motion capture lab, fluids tanks, shaker tables, cranes, etc.

• Specialty Equipment: access to specialty equipment within the Faculty of Engineering can be requested on an as-needed basis. If your project requires access to certain equipment currently unavailable in the SDH, please reach out to the engineer in residence. Assets will either be coordinated through the relevant department or purchased for the lab.

Note: A full team list must be provided to the engineer in residence before any after-hours meeting approvals will be given.
