If you will complete your program requirements by the end of the winter semester, the following timeline will apply to you:

Apply to graduate

Application opens Monday, Nov 3 with a submission deadline of Jan. 15 the following year. Apply through Student Self-Service:

• From the Student Self-Service channel on my.mun.ca click the Student Hub button,
• in the left-hand menu on the Student Hub select Application to Graduate.

On the next two pages: Program of Study Term and Program Completion Semester, make sure you select Winter on both pages.

Don't forget to click Submit when you are ready to submit your application.

Graduation eligibility confirmed

Your application will be reviewed by the Registrar's Office and you will be notified if you have any missing requirements. 

Notification of eligibility letters are normally sent out 10-12 business days after official grades are released in April and incrementally thereafter. At the same time, your graduation status in Student Self-Service will be updated accordingly.

Attend your convocation ceremony

Spring convocation will take place in Corner Brook at the Arts and Culture Centre on Thursday, May 14, 2026 and in St. John's at the Arts and Culture Centre from Tuesday, May 26 - Friday, May 39, 2026. Make sure you have registered to attend the ceremony, requested your academic dress and requested tickets for your guests. Find all the details on the convocation website.

Graduation parchments

You will receive your degree parchment at your convocation ceremony. If you do not attend your ceremony you can pick up your parchment at the Registrar's Office the next business day following your ceremony. It will be held for one-week. If you do not pick up your parchment during this time it will be mailed to your address listed in Memorial Self-Service.

Transcript updated

Your transcript will be updated in the week following the completion of spring convocation.
