Strategic Enrolment and Retention Plan (SERP)

The Strategic Enrolment and Retention Plan (SERP) is Memorial University's plan, and is therefore inclusive of all campuses and levels of study that will support recruitment and retention enrolment objectives. The President’s Executive Council (PEC) approved a work plan that is guiding the development and implementation of the plan.

Aligning student enrolment and retention goals with Memorial’s strategic plan will position our university for success and create an environment for sustainable advances. This plan will establish clear long-term enrolment goals for the number and types of students Memorial should have for all levels of students at all campuses, in addition to strengthening existing ties to research. The overall plan will support Memorial's mandate of research, teaching and public engagement.

There are five phases approved for the development of the plan. The first three phases are now complete. Read more about What We Heard of the main themes during these phases.

Phase four and phase five begin in the fall.
