Background

Ashley is originally from Clarenville, Newfoundland and Labrador, earned her B.Sc. in Psychology at Memorial University and pursued clinical training at the University of Regina’s Reproductive Mental Health Research Unit, where she specialized in the psychological challenges of reproductive transitions, such as infertility. She completed her pre-doctoral residency with Horizon Health Authority in Fredericton, New Brunswick, focusing on neuropsychology and health psychology.

Research Interests

Ashley’s research includes reproductive mental health, adaptations of Third-Wave Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for reproductive transitions, and expanding accessibility to mental health resources. Her current work addresses infertility-related distress and psychological flexibility, alongside efforts to improve communication and support for those experiencing infertility. She has also contributed to public education projects, including a video on support for those experiencing infertility.
