Minor in Jazz Studies
The Minor in Jazz Studies is available to students enrolled in the Bachelor of Music program. Students may pair the Minor in Jazz Studies with a major in Composition, General Musical Studies, or Performance. For information on the degree requirements for each of these programs, please review the Program Planning Guides for your primary instrument.
Students interested in auditioning for the Minor in Jazz Studies will declare their intentions during their fourth semester in the Bachelor of Music program. Students may choose to audition for the Minor in Jazz Studies on a secondary instrument.
Auditions will take place during the first week of classes in September.

32 bars of medium swing.
Melody instruments, vocal, piano, and guitar auditions will be accompanied by faculty. Bass and drum auditions will be performed solo.
