Care of the Elderly

The Discipline of Family Medicine at Memorial University is pleased to offer an Enhanced Skills Program in Care of the Elderly (COE).  The program provides in-depth training for Family Medicine Residents and practicing physicians who wish to enhance their knowledge and skills in caring for older adults. Family physicians with enhanced skills in COE are well-positioned as resource persons in COE for their community, region and province and are well-suited for an academic career and/or leadership roles across the care continuum where older adults are served (long-term care, rehabilitation, home care).

Upon successful completion of the program, a Certificate of Added Competence (CAC) will be awarded by the College of Family Physicians of Canada.
