Enhanced Skills

Memorial University’s Discipline of Family Medicine offers Enhanced Skills training in Emergency Medicine, Care of the Elderly and Care of Underserved Populations. These fellowship programs will assist both family medicine residents and practicing family physicians in broadening their clinical practice in these specialized areas, and will allow them to become a more valuable resource to their patients and the communities they serve.  
 
Applications are open to family medicine residents currently enrolled in a Family Medicine Residency Training Program in Canada as well as practising family physicians (CCFP certified or eligible to sit the CCFP examination). 

Category 1 Programs

A six-month Care of the Elderly residency program is available to physicians returning from practice. This application would occur outside of CaRMS. If interested in more details, please contact the Program Director and/or the Academic Program Assistant.

Category 2 Program

Care of Underserved Populations (twelve-month program)
