Music At Memorial Concert Series Update
Hello Friends;
The recent increase in COVID-19 cases and the corresponding public health measures in Newfoundland and Labrador have forced changes to the Music@Memorial Digital Concert Series.
I am sorry to say that we have canceled the following concerts:
February 25: Kate Read and Timothy Steeves | Keep in Touch
March 11: Sylvie Proulx | Tanguissimo: Piazzolla meets Borges
March 18: Florian Hoefner | Standard Time
March 25: Vernon Regehr | Portraits of Ravel
April 1: Iris Trio | Night Music
In essence, the current public health measures make it impossible for our musicians and recording professionals to rehearse, record, and edit these concerts.
Now, some good news! We are pleased to announce that the “Faculty Gala” will proceed as scheduled (Thursday, March 4) and is shaping up to be an incredible concert. This year's edition of this popular show will feature previously unseen performances by the Iris Trio, Kate Read, Duo Concertante, and Jing Xia and the State of Emergency Band plus many more wonderful moments. We hope you can join us!
