Jane Leibel releases second CD
Dr. Jane Leibel, associate professor of voice at Memorial University has just released her second CD Songs of the Bubble Ring: Songs by John Greer and Clifford Crawley.
The recording is a selection of vocal repertoire with both piano and chamber ensemble accompaniments that centre on the whimsical and lyric voice of the soprano, featuring John Greer and Clifford Crawley as compatible creative spirits in the current world of Canadian music. On this disc, John Greer performs the roles of composer, pianist and lover of contemporary Canadian music. Several School of Music faculty and alumni artists are guest performers.

Leibel and fellow faculty member, pianist, Dr. Maureen Volk have been active across western Canada, the Maritimes and France in the 2011-12 season, touring a program that includes songs from this new collection which is released on the Centaur record label.
