Application Deadline Extended to January 18, 2014
All Memorial University facilities were closed on the island of Newfoundland from Jan. 6th - 8th in response to the Government of Newfoundland and Labrador’s request to meet provincial energy conservation needs. Due to this unforeseen closure the deadline for applications to the Bachelor of Music program will be extended until January 18th, 2014.
The winter of 2014 will be remembered for its exceptional winds, snow, cold and related power outages but we are back, safe and sound, and eager to receive your application!
Auditions for entry in fall 2014
There are lots of ways to audition to the School of Music at Memorial University! Find one that’s right for you.
Audition live:
St. John’s: Saturday March 1. Come a day early and shadow a music student for a day followed by a free evening concert for you and your parents on Friday February 28.
Halifax: Saturday March 8 and Sunday March 9
Distance auditions: You may send us a CD/DVD, direct us to a Youtube link, or audition live via videoconferencing. If you choose to upload your audition online, be sure to use high quality audio and video. Make sure we can clearly see how you play your instrument (for example, hand placement and posture).
When you apply to the School using the online form, select which city you plan to audition in, or check ‘distance.’ Simply email us at musicauditions@mun.ca to let us know how you plan to audition. We’ll do our best to accommodate your audition needs, but please note that there are a limited number of audition times in Halifax.

The deadline for submitting your application to Memorial University to guarantee consideration for admission in September 2014 is January 18th.
