Undergraduate String Audition Guidelines
Applicants whose repertoire features piano accompaniment are required to perform their auditions with a collaborative pianist. Should health and safety concerns prevent an applicant from performing with a collaborative pianist, contact us to ask for an accommodation. String applicants in this position may play their auditions solo or with a track.
VIOLIN

- Two contrasting movements from the Six Solo Sonatas and Partitas (BWV 1001 -1006) by J. S. Bach

- Technical Requirements
- All major and melodic minor scales, three octaves, slurring four notes per bow, in eighth notes, half-note = 48
- All major and minor arpeggios, three octaves, slurring three notes per bow, in triplet eighth notes, quarter-note = 48
