Every year, the Internationalization Office coordinates a holiday hosting program that pairs international students from Memorial with community hosts who invite them into their homes for a holiday meal.

As part of the program, we match students with hosts, facilitate introductions, provide necessary notifications and prepare students to be hosted.

Host an international student for dinner:

Many international students feel isolated being away from their homes and families during the holidays when others are spending time with loved ones.

If you have space around your table and are interested in opening up your home to a student for dinner, please reach out to us.

Hosts can be anyone within or outside the Memorial University community who can accommodate between one to four students, or a family of up to four members, for a holiday dinner anytime between December 24-31.
