Research Statement
My M.A. research is focused on the petroglyphs along the southern Susquehanna River and the Chesapeake Bay, particularly the Bald Friar petroglyph fragments scattered throughout several Maryland counties. I plan to contextualize and reassemble the remaining fragments and present a concept for exhibition that incorporates Indigenous perspective and encourages local interest to foster a culture focused on the preservation of Indigenous imagery in a region dominated by early American colonialism.
