A new book, Contact in the 16th Century: Networks among Fishers, Foragers and Farmers, presents new research on the archaeology and history of early contacts between Europeans and First Nations peoples throughout Eastern and Atlantic Canada.

The edited volume features articles by Lisa Rankin and Amanda Crompton who investigate the nature of Inuit and European contact in Southern Labrador, and another, by R.Williamson, Meghan Burchell, W. Fox and S.Grant, who examine the long-distance trade networks between Toronto-area Huron-Wendat sites and the Saint Lawrence River Valley.
