Imperial Tobacco Canada Scholarship in Archaeology
This scholarship, established by Imperial Tobacco Canada has a minimum value of $2,000.00 annually. It is usually awarded to a senior student in Archaeology who has completed the honours program specializing in Historical Archaeology.
The Jacques Whitford Newfoundland Geoscience Scholarship
This scholarship was established by Jacques Whitford Environment Limited and Newfoundland Geosciences Limited. Valued at the interest on an endowment, it is awarded annually, on a rotating basis, to students in the Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science, the Faculty of Science and the Department of Archaeology. Successful candidates are of scholarship standing, preferably with an interest in environmental issues.
The John M. and Elsa S. Morgan Scholarships
These scholarships commemorate the late Dr. John M. Morgan and his wife Elsa. Up to twenty-five scholarships are available annually to undergraduate students who have completed at least one year of studies at Memorial University of Newfoundland in specific fields and who are continuing in these programs. Up to two scholarships, valued at $1,000.00 each, are earmarked for students in the Department of Archaeology.
Mary Pittman-Robbins Scholarship in Archaeology
This scholarship, whose value varies with the return on the endowment, was established by students and colleagues of Mary Pittman-Robbins. It is currently valued at about $600 each year. The scholarship is awarded to a senior student in Archaeology who has completed the honours program specializing in Prehistoric Archaeology or Bioarchaeology.
