Research Statement
My Ph.D. project, entitled “The Digital Archaeology of Farming Landscape in Saint-Pierre et Miquelon” is an investigation into the relationships between humans and the landscape in the French Atlantic archipelago. By integrating historical resources (archives), digital archaeological data (surveys), and public archaeology (memories), we are developing an innovative archaeological map of the archipelago related to farming estates during the Modern era. This approach establishes an interpretive framework to question how agriculture penetrates the local and regional economic networks, thereby contributing to the sustainability of the local fishery and the resilience of the settlement.
