St. John's Campus
On our largest campus, you'll find state-of-the-art study and research facilities, alongside on-campus student residences and a wide variety of academic programs. Student services, offered by Student Life and our students’ union, MUNSU, support our students in every way possible. You’ll also have access to countless extracurricular activities on campus and throughout the city.
New student experiences
The Student Experience Office empowers students – both current and prospective – by providing transition supports, leadership development and community engagement learning opportunities.
New students are encouraged to participate in MUN101, a high impact orientation and transition program to help first-year students adjust to university life, learn the ropes, become part of the community, and get set for success!
The first year at University can be daunting, but your peers are here to support you through the Peer network. The network connects current students with new students giving them the opportunity to receive guidance from mentors who have been where they are now.
Student supports and services

Download Navigate Student, a free mobile app, that will help you interact with student supports and schedule appointments, navigate degree requirements and stay on top of important dates and deadlines.
Academic help centres provide students with free tutoring and subject-specific assistance. These centres are open throughout the week and are staffed by university employees and senior students.

The Student Wellness and Counselling Centre provides students with a wide range of on-campus health and wellness services, including access to doctors and counsellors. They are dedicated to helping students remain healthy and make good life choices while pursuing their academic goals.
Career supports

They use a strengths-based approach to help you increase your self-awareness and make informed decisions about your career planning and employment goals. Services include meetings with career advisors, career-preparation workshops, and many other career-focused events on campus. They are also available to help students find jobs that are on-campus, off-campus, or created for co-operative work term placements.
Accessible education
The Glenn Roy Blundon Centre supports all students who experience barriers to accessing post-secondary education. This includes students with disabilities or other accessibility-related challenges. The Blundon Centre organizes learning accommodations, and aims to increase awareness of inclusive values among all members of the university community.

If you'd rather watch from the sidelines, take advantage of the student discount on tickets and cheer on our Sea-Hawks teams.
Not a varsity-level athlete? There are a number of other options, including The Works intramural program and various recreation leagues within the city of St. John’s.
Community
Get involved
The Student Volunteer Bureau (SVB) is Memorial's student-run volunteer resource centre and referral service for students interested in getting involved in our community and participating in our Volunteer Incentive Program.
Leadership Programs at Memorial provide students with essential skills for academic, personal and professional success.
Your voice; your student union
The Students' Union, MUNSU, helps provide programs and services on campus, like the campus radio station, clubs and societies, and resource centres.
Resource centres, organized via MUNSU, act as a peer support network, meeting space and information resource within the university community. There are currently seven student-run resource centres on campus to support students from diverse backgrounds, including those who identify as Indigenous, having a disability, international, LGBTQ2SI+, marginalized genders, older than average, and student parents.
Clubs and Societies serve a wide range of interests and help students connect with each other. Groups are organized around a variety of topics including academic, athletic, cultural, faith, political and recreational interests. With over 200 student-run groups on campus, there's something for everyone. And if not, you can start your own!
