Since May 2024, Yusra Altaf has been the Coordinator of the Student Volunteer Bureau (SVB). Originally from Pakistan, Yusra is pursuing her second Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies with a minor in English at Memorial University.

She was introduced to the Student Volunteer Bureau a year ago and served as a Volunteer Assistant with the office for two semesters. Inspired by the SVB’s mission to benefit the community through volunteerism, she successfully secured the Coordinator role. Since then, she has dedicated her time and efforts to promoting its message and services as widely as possible. The SVB is an outstanding organization that connects people from all walks of life to volunteer opportunities across the province, aiming to enhance personal and professional growth while contributing to the broader community. As the Coordinator, Yusra’s purpose aligns with this mission.
