Dr. Danine Farquharson

Dr. Danine Farquharson is a Full Professor in the English Department at Memorial University and has worked with hundreds of graduate students across various disciplines on research proposals. She has conducted workshops for the Departments of History, Environmental Science, and English. Dr. Farquharson has written many proposals herself.

An established scholar in Irish studies who also teaches literary theory and British literature, Danine is engaged in Cold Water Oil: a joint research project with Dr. Fiona Polack that contributes to the field of Energy Humanities. Danine has published scholarly articles, has edited volumes of essays, has blogged, and has written for and spoken with diverse audiences. She’s a member of the Petrocultures Research Cluster, the Canadian Association for Irish Studies, and the Association of Canadian College and University Teachers of English.
