Alison Farrell

Alison Farrell is a Research Data Management Librarian at the Health Sciences Library of Memorial University of Newfoundland (MUN). She earned her MLIS from Dalhousie University in 2003 and has extensive expertise in data management and knowledge synthesis. As the liaison to the School of Pharmacy, Alison provides specialized support, helping faculty and students navigate research resources and manage their data effectively.

Alison is also an author of the Maturity Assessment Model in Canada (MAMIC), which advances data management practices across the country. In addition to her role at MUN, she serves on national committees focused on research data management, contributing to the development of policies and best practices. Her dedication to information literacy and accessibility ensures that library resources and services are inclusive and widely available.
