Many of our programs can be completed online and offer courses throughout the academic year. If you’ve already completed a degree and are looking to take courses for professional development or out of personal interest, there’s also an option for you.

Choose your path – certificate, diploma, or degree programs 

You can choose between certificate, diploma, or degree programs to start your educational journey. Certificate programs are shorter in duration and typically require 6-10 courses (or one year of full-time study to complete). Diploma programs are more specialized and have a stronger career focus. They typically require 10-20 courses and can be completed in one to two years of full-time study. Bachelor’s degrees typically provide both broad and specialized knowledge and require a minimum of 40 courses, and are typically completed in four years of full-time study.


Study your way: online or on-campus

Memorial offers a number of fully online undergraduate and graduate programs, as well as 475 online courses in 40 subject areas, that you can complete from anywhere in Canada and around the world. Whether you’re looking for a completely online experience or prefer a combination of online and in-person learning, Memorial’s online offerings are designed to offer flexibility without compromising quality.

Mixed-mode programs

Mixed-mode programs offer at least 75% of courses fully online and require some components (e.g., courses, seminars, residencies) to be completed on campus.

Interested in taking a course or two out of personal interest or for professional development? Or would you like to take courses without committing to a program initially? If you’re a Canadian citizen or Permanent Resident of Canada and aged 21 or older, you can apply and enrol as a non-degree student.

Fund your future: Affordable tuition and fees

Memorial is proud to offer programs at some of the most affordable tuition rates in Canada for Canadian and international students.

If you are a Canadian citizen or a Permanent Resident of Canada, you are likely eligible for provincial and federal loans and grants. The Government of Newfoundland and Labrador also offers a Tuition Relief Grant Program for eligible students up to a maximum of $3,450 per academic year.
