General admission requirements

Credential

High School Diploma (Grade 12, academic track).

Students who completed high school in the Philippines prior to 2018 must have completed two years of full-time study at a recognized post-secondary institution.

Required subject areas

  1. English
  2. Mathematics1
  3. Laboratory Science1,2 (Biology, Chemistry, or Physics)
  4. Social Studies or Modern/Classical Language1
  5. Elective

1Students who are missing an eligible course in one of subject groups 2, 3 or 4, who apply for admission to a program that does not require completion of these courses, will be considered for general admission. In this case, an eligible course in subject groups 1, 2, 3 or 4 may be used to substitute the missing course. Students who are missing eligible courses in two subject areas should contact admissions@mun.ca.

2Combined Science is not acceptable to meet the laboratory science requirement.

  • Minimum average of 85% in the required subject areas, with a passing grade in each subject.
English language proficiency
Competitive program entry (if applicable)
  • Admission to some programs is competitive for a limited number of spaces. A higher admission average and/or supplementary information may be required as part of the faculty-specific admissions.

  • Official final high school transcript. This should be sent by post or courier to the Office of the Registrar directly from your school or sent by you in an envelope that has been officially sealed by your school.

If you have completed high school and not attended a post-secondary institution

  • Official final high school transcript. This should be sent by post or courier to the Office of the Registrar directly from your school or sent by you in an envelope that has been officially sealed by your school.
  • Official English proficiency test result.
  • Supplementary information required for competitive-entry programs may be required with your application.

If you have attended a post-secondary institution
