General admission requirements

1 Students who are missing an eligible course in one of subject groups 2, 3 or 4, who apply for admission to a program that does not require completion of these courses, will be considered for general admission. In this case, an eligible course in subject groups 1, 2, 3 or 4 may be used to substitute the missing course.
2 Calculus is a required course in first year for business/commerce (St. John's campus only) and science programs at Memorial. To ensure students are prepared for entry into their chosen program of study, 12th level pre-calculus mathematics is normally required for admission to these programs. The mathematics requirement may also be met through the College Board SAT. A minimum Math Test score of 500 is required for general admission; 550 is recommended for business/commerce and science programs as noted above. Other mathematics tests/courses may be considered at the discretion of the Department of Mathematics and Statistics.

Grade requirement
- Minimum grade of a B in the required subject areas, with a passing grade in each subject.
English language proficiency
- Proof of English language proficiency is required through a standardized test.
Competitive program entry (if applicable)
- Admission to some programs is competitive for a limited number of spaces. A higher admission average and/or supplementary information may be required as part of the faculty-specific admissions.

- Scan of your official Higher Secondary marksheet certificate (academic transcript) uploaded to the admissions portal or sent by email.
If you have completed high school and not attended a post-secondary institution
- Scan of your official Higher Secondary marksheet certificate (academic transcript) uploaded to the admissions portal or sent by email.
- Official English proficiency test result.
- Supplementary information required for competitive-entry programs may be required with your application.
If you have attended a post-secondary institution
- You are required to apply as a transfer student. In addition to the information provided above, please refer to our university or college transfer applicant requirements.
