Student employment

It is important for you to budget for your graduate program accordingly to ensure you have sufficient funds to complete your program. The Enhanced Development of the Graduate Experience (EDGE) offers workshops, seminars and information sessions on resume and cover letter writing, interview tips and more, and can assist in preparing you for a job on or off-campus.

EDGE provides tips on managing your finances during graduate school and encourages students to continually participate in professional development throughout your program.

Full-time graduate students are permitted to work a maximum of 24 hours per week. International students may have restrictions on the number of hours permitted to work; this would depend upon your study permit. Part-time students are permitted to work more than 24 hours per week.

There are a variety of on-campus jobs students can apply for including GradSWEP, Graduate Intership Program and additional teaching, research, and graduate assistantships. Student Life also provides assistance to students seeking off-campus work. Available job postings can be viewed by logging into MyMUNLife in your my.mun.ca account.
