If you are interested in any of the opportunities displayed here, please first note the associated deadline. If you intend to apply for a partner summer school, first complete the Memorial Summer School Form to notify us. If a partner school requires official nomination by Memorial before you can apply, it is important to indicate this on the form.
One of the consortia that Memorial is part of, University Mobility of the Asia Pacific (UMAP), offers Discovery Camp Programs through their members. The programs are fully sponsored by the host institution(s), which covers the costs of all in-country expenses (accommodation, transportation, meals, etc.). UMAP also offers scholarships to cover travel costs. You can check out the website here for more details about the discovery camp offerings for summer 2025.

Shanghai Summer School is now open to register! Space for up to two Memorial students will be allotted. Tuition is paid to Memorial and the program fee is waived. Student will have to pay for their international travel, visa fee, insurance and personal expenses etc. while abroad.

In the summer of 2025, Shanghai Lixin University of Accounting and Finance will organize the 2025 Shanghai Summer School of International Talent Program in Cross-border E-commerce, to demonstrate the latest developments in China’s cross-border e-commerce and the richness and diversity of Chinese culture. Participants will spend an enjoyable summer creating unforgettable memories of their youth.
The summer camp aims to provide foreign students with a platform to learn about cross-border e-commerce and engage in cultural exchange between China and other countries. The program focuses on cultivating talent with global perspectives and cross-cultural communication skills in the field of cross-border e-commerce. Participants will also explore traditional Chinese arts, savor local cuisine, visit historical landmarks, and experience Chinese culture firsthand. Through these immersive activities in Shanghai, a global metropolis, students will gain a deeper understanding of modern China. Using Shanghai as a gateway, they will expand their knowledge of the country while also having opportunities to demonstrate their own national cultures, enriching the summer camp with a multicultural atmosphere.

Costs:
The program will cover food, accommodation, transportation, course study, and tour expenses for participants during the camp. International travel, visa, and insurance expenses will be borne by the participants.

We invite participants from all over the world to join Turku Åbo Summer School in August 2025 in one of the most traditional and popular study cities in Finland.
Turku Åbo Summer School offers 15 topical, wide-ranging and fully accredited courses from the key areas of five higher education institutions in the Turku region. Get the latest insights on topics ranging from game design and social sustainability to well-being and urban planning and much more!
Most of the courses are taught on-site and require presence in Turku on 4-15 August. In addition, there are five self-paced online courses that you can take part in anywhere.
The course fees vary between 225€-1100€, depending on the host institution of the course.

This year, EM's Summer School focuses on Business in Europe, including European Economic Policies and a zoom on Sustainability and will take place from June 3rd – June 27th, 2025.
The program fees are:

Bachelor European Summer Program 2025
The Business, Political and Cultural Environment in Europe
May 25 to June 13, 2025
The program will take place at their campus in Vallendar, located just outside of Koblenz in the UNESCO World Heritage Site Upper Middle Rhine Valley, one hour away from Frankfurt! It will be a great combination of class meetings, group work, company visits and cultural experience.
Highlights:
The program will feature visits to German companies and the unique historical sites in the area. It offers a rich diversity of academic and intercultural activities, thus providing students with a dynamic and interactive program.
As the farewell event will take place in the evening of the last day (June 13), they recommend scheduling departure for the following morning. They will provide a shuttle to the airport on the morning of June 14. Please find all important program details below.

HKUST Summer School
Program Period
The HKUST Summer School is a credit-bearing, course-taking program. It consists of two 4-week Sessions. Courses are offered in either Session 1 or 2, bounded by the class dates of the respective Session. Students can join one Session or both.

Admissions
We welcome undergraduate students from institution outside Hong Kong to enrol as Exchange Students (tuition paid to Memorial) or Fee-paying Students. Students must be nominated by Memorial in order to apply as an exchange student.
Courses
The tentative course list can be viewed on page 3 of the HKUST Summer School pamphlet. Students enrolling in one Session can take 1-2 courses, while students enrolling in two Sessions can take maximum 3 courses. HKUST will provide a transcript upon program completion. The confirmed course list and schedule will be available in January 2025.

Course curriculum: students select two courses from the seven courses on offer. The curriculum includes outline of lecture topics, reading lists and assessment requirements. Each course is worth 3 Semester Credits/6 ECTS Credits. Courses delivered each year depend on demand.

Ecology: Living Landscapes in the West of Ireland - University of Galway

Entry Requirements: Undergraduate students should have completed at least one full year at university or college level before being admitted to the programme and are undertaking any Ecology, Environmental Science, Geography, Botany, Zoology, Natural History or Natural Heritage course. Students should also have attained a minimum GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent). Postgraduate students with an interest in the subject area are also welcome to apply. They will have an extra assignment to complete to obtain the course credits. Students should have a reasonable level of fitness and be prepared for field trips most days on the course. This may involve short hikes over trails and uneven surfaces.
Curriculum: focusing on the Ecology of the Living Landscapes of the West of Ireland. The course is worth 10 ECTS Credits/5 US Credits.
Field trips: each week students undertake field trips (i.e., 2-3 days, per week), which facilitate contact with the Irish countryside, habitats, flora, fauna, and Irish conservation practitioners.
Assessment: course is assessed in the form of oral presentations and learning journals. The course is highly practical and provides an opportunity for students to develop hands-on fieldwork skills.
Social events: Opening reception, Independence Day Barbecue, and Farewell Reception.
Tuition Cost: €2,290.00

Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU) offers a 3-week program twice a year for students from partner universities around the world to boost Japanese language skills through intensive courses tailored to Japanese proficiency level, and experience Japanese culture firsthand through workshops and field studies.

We are thrilled to announce that applications will be opening soon for Waseda Summer Session 2025!
We offer this once-in-a-lifetime 6-week program for undergraduate students worldwide from June 16 to July 24, 2025.
Whether they want to explore their academic interests or Japanese unique cultures, this summer session provides the perfect opportunity.
Your students will also have the chance to meet new friends, including local students and experience campus life at Waseda.
Participants will choose 2 or 3 subjects out of 16 subjects in the context of Japan and Asia Pacific. Each subject has 23.5 teaching hours.

The HAN Summer School is scheduled to take place on their campus in Nijmegen from 16 June – 4 July 2025. The program is open to all undergraduate students from partner universities, like Memorial.
The Program:
- The three week program is made up of one-week courses in the fields of health, social studies, sports and education. Unfortunately business and engineering courses do not feature in this year’s summer school, but we hope to include them in 2026.
- As most courses do not have any pre-requisites, students are not restricted to their own field of study, so business and engineering students are also welcome to participate. This is what makes this new Summer School special: the opportunity for students to broaden their horizons!
- Each week consists of 3 courses and students can design their individual program by selecting 1 course per week.
- The total number of credits awarded to the Summer School is 6 ECTs.
- Classes take place from Monday to Friday and weekends are free for relaxation or exploring the city of Nijmegen, the Netherlands or other parts of Europe.

We have prepared an all-inclusive program fee of €1850, on the basis of exchange.

The Nord Summer School will take place in July at campus Bodø.
Bodø is situated approximately 90 kilometers north of the Arctic Circle and is home to Saltstraumen, the world's strongest maelstrom. From June 2 to July 10, the city experiences 24 hours of daylight, as the sun does not set. In 2024, Bodø held the distinction of being a European Capital of Culture.

NiCE2025 - NEUST International Cultural Engagement, Diverse Connection through Culture and Experience - Bridging Cultures for a Sustainable Future.
NiCE 2025 (NEUST International Cultural Engagement) is a premier, one-week cultural immersion program organized by the College of Management and Business Technology – Hospitality and Tourism Management Department of the Nueva Ecija University of Science and Technology (NEUST), Philippines. This transformative event is designed to bring together students, lecturers and staff from international universities, NiCE 2025 offers a unique platform for cultural discovery, global collaboration, and the promotion of sustainable practices aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). Set against the vibrant backdrop of Cabanatuan City, Nueva Ecija—renowned as the “Rice Granary of the Philippines”—this immersive program embraces the theme “Diverse Connection through Culture and Experience.”
More than a celebration of culture, NiCE 2025 serves as a dynamic bridge for fostering deeper cross-cultural understanding, expanding NEUST’s global partnerships, and promoting a shared vision for a more sustainable and inclusive future. The 2025 International Summer Semester (ISS) is set to run from June 27th to July 25th, offering an intensive four-week program. With 750 students from 91 universities across 38 countries participating last year, this year marks the 17th anniversary of our university’s highly acclaimed ISS program. Renowned for its excellence, the program has become a cornerstone of international education in Korea, thanks to the contributions of distinguished professors from around the world and the unwavering support of our university community.
In addition to academic lectures, students will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in Korean culture through visits to iconic landmarks such as Gyeongbokgung Palace, the Blue House, and the Folk Village. The LiU Summer Academy will be held 27 June – 26 July 2025 in Linköping, Sweden!
Students get to choose from 7 high-quality bachelor level courses (7.5 ECTS) taught in English and gain cultural insights together with other students from LiU’s partner universities worldwide.
For students from LiU’s partners, the LiU Summer Academy is tuition-free. In addition to academic lectures and coursework, a variety of social activities and a fun programme will be offered, organized by our student hosts.
Housing will be provided; a fully furnished single room with a private bathroom, access to a shared kitchen and a final exit cleaning together with a regional buss pass at a total cost of SEK 6,800.

Liverpool John Moores University is offering two summer programs in 2025.
Global Summer School 2025
The Global Summer School 2025 is a two-week, non-credit bearing programme which will teach students about Liverpool, it’s history and culture. In week 2, students will move into one of 5 streams to learn more about that academic area. Available streams for 2025 are Engineering and Technology, Humanities, Business, Creative Arts and Sports Science. The cost of the programme is £1950 and includes tuition, accommodation and all scheduled activities.
Humanities Summer School 2025
This programme will award 20 UK credits (equivalent to 10 ECTS, 4 US) and is 3 weeks long. Based in our School of Humanities, students will have the opportunity to learn more about Liverpool, it’s history and culture and will delve more deeply into how this historical-geographical context has shaped literary landscapes in Liverpool and beyond. The cost of the programme is £2925 and includes tuition, accommodation and all scheduled activities.
