Upcoming meeting of the NL section of the Geological Association of Canada
The Newfoundland and Labrador Section of the Geological Association of Canada will be holding its annual Spring Technical Meeting at the Johnson GEO Centre on Signal Hill Monday February 18 and Tuesday, February 19. There will be a special session on “Geo-Heritage in Newfoundland and Labrador”, as well as a general session, with presentations on a wide range of subjects related to geoscience. In addition, Dr. John Calder from the Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources will give a public lecture on the successful designation of the Joggins Fossil Cliffs as a UNESCO World Heritage Site on Monday 18th February.
