Spirited Canines

Spirited Canines is a service dog training program dedicated to empowering youth with mental illness to become socially responsible leaders for peaceful change. With the support of respected organizations, the program is built on a foundation of collaboration and community. Guided by insights from stakeholders including the CNIB, the Newfoundland and Labrador Organization of Women Entrepreneurs, and with mentorship from the MUN Centre for Entrepreneurship and Centre for Social Enterprise, Spirited Canines aims to make a lasting impact in St. John's, NL, and beyond by fostering inclusive opportunities, leadership development, and compassionate service.

Typical Volunteer Duties: Marketing, website development, event planning, media and film roles also available!

Commitment: 1-2 hours per week for 4 weeks

Additional Information: Potential to join team long term. The fundraiser includes myself completing a 700km hike while hosting events along the way (hikes, climbing, beach party). I am working in partnership with the Alpine Club of Canada, St. John's Hike Club, and other local organizations. Attendance at these events is not mandatory but will be super fun! We will be creating a documentary as we go.
