The St John’s Tool Library is a not-for-profit community resource. Whether you're a veteran DIYer or thinking about getting started on your very first project, the St. John's Tool Library is here to help. We are a non-profit tool lending service for people who want to create, make, build, and grow. Your membership gives you access to a broad inventory of equipment - from lawn mowers to power drills, from stud finders to table saws, from gardening shovels to soldering irons - we've got you covered.

Volunteer Activities/Duties: We are looking for passionate volunteers to join our team and help us with tool library shifts, during workshops and helping us repair and maintain our inventory. No experience is necessary. We will teach you how to operate our software, manage our inventory, and provide services to members. We are looking for volunteers that can help during our hours of operation, and the occasional workshop during our off hours.
Commitment: Once a week, or once every 2 weeks.

The St. John's Tool Library, a non-profit social enterprise, is seeking an enthusiastic student in business, marketing, or social media to join their team as Social Media Manager. This volunteer role offers a valuable opportunity to gain practical experience and make a meaningful impact over a 2-3 year period. Responsibilities include developing and implementing social media marketing strategies, increasing awareness of the Tool Library across Newfoundland and Labrador, engaging with current members, and attracting new ones. They are looking for students passionate about social media and marketing who can work remotely or in a hybrid setting. By volunteering with them, you'll gain hands-on experience, contribute to the growth of a community-focused non-profit, network with professionals and fellow students, and make a tangible impact on the local community.
