Results Canada
Results Canada is a grassroots advocacy organization that believes in mobilizing everyday people to generate the political will to end extreme poverty. We are a non political nonprofit organization. We combine the voices of our volunteers with strategic areas of focus to leverage resources for programs and improved policies that help realize peoples’ rights to health equity, quality education and economic opportunity.
Our volunteers are required to ask Canadian federal government decision-makers – parliamentarians who are Members of Parliament (MPs), Ministers, and Senators – to improve policies and make monetary investments to end extreme poverty so that people get access to what they need to survive and thrive.
Volunteer Duties:
- Attending webinars, conferences and events hosted by Results Canada.
- Influencing parliamentarians (Members of Parliament (MPs), federal government Ministers, or Senators) by calling, writing, emailing, or meeting;
- Publishing letters to the editor (LTEs) or op-eds in their local or national newspaper;
- Using social media by tweeting, posting, sharing and liking - and tagging parliamentarians;
- Donating and fundraising;
- Collaborating with other volunteers (and even winning awards for their efforts!).
Commitment: Volunteers need to attend a meeting once a month and take at least one action within a month.
Please Note: Volunteers need to put NL as their province and St John’s as their city.
