Neighbours United
Neighbours United is a community-led group initiative dedicated to empowering environmental advocacy, activism, and awareness through community research. We have conversations with people who live in St. John’s and Mount Pearl to learn about our neighbours' perspectives on oil and gas exploration, climate change, and the cost of living while empowering them to share their thoughts, feelings, stories, and make their voices heard. By training volunteers to have non-judgemental conversations with their neighbours we offer the opportunity to learn about our neighbours’ real experiences, develop crucial leadership and communication skills, and learn what it means to be a caring and effective environmental advocate in our own backyard.
