Mount Pearl Citizens` Crime Prevention Committee
The Mount Pearl Citizens' Crime Prevention Committee work in and with the community to educate all ages about crime prevention strategies. We hold workshops, lunch and learn sessions and various community events.
Volunteer Duties: participate in planning, organizing and delivering the activities. Examples include family/educational fun day, sessions to daycares around Halloween safety, seniors sessions on how to avoid scams, elementary school card contest to thank police for their services during Police Week, Officer for a day event, etc.
Commitment: The committee has 3 or 4 face to face planning meetings each year as well as participating on the day of the events. Email is used for contact. We also have volunteers who can help out on the actual day of the event.
