Organization Description: Let’s Talk Science is a national charitable organization committed to engaging children and youth in interactive science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activities and workshops. At Memorial University, they have an active Let’s Talk Science outreach program where they visit classrooms and community groups, both virtually and in-person.  If you want to be a role model to youth in Newfoundland and Labrador, meet like-minded people, and rekindle your love of science, consider joining them today!

Volunteer Activities/Duties: Going to classrooms, community groups, public events, etc. and delivering predeveloped STEM activities and experiments. They also do science fair judging and there are opportunities to be a team lead for various events, both on and off campus.

Commitment: Their volunteer program is flexible and all that they ask is that you try to volunteer at least once a semester (or a couple times a year) to stay active and involved with all that they do. All post-secondary students are welcome (undergraduate and graduate) – no science background required. They provide free transportation as well.

Orientation and Training: Science with impact training is neccessary in order to volunteer with Let's Talk Science. This training provides you with background information about the program, volunteer expectations, and finally some helpful tips and tricks for delivering STEM education to you. May sound daunting, but it's very basic and easy to grasp!
