Connections for Seniors: Telephone Visitor

To establish programs and provide supportive services to older adults in order to ensure growth, health, and well-being. By being a Telephone Visit Volunteer, your role is to provide companionship and support to a senior via telephone visits.

Volunteer Duties:

  • Provide companionship to a senior via weekly telephone visits
  • Participate in friendly conversation around topics such as current local events, a shared common interest (example: games, crafts, etc.), etc.
  • Report any concerns to Volunteer Coordinator Inform Volunteer Coordinator if you are unable telephone visit regularly
  • Maintain client confidentiality

Commitment: We are flexible but we ask volunteers to commit to weekly phone chats. All year round.

Orientation and Training: No formal training required.

Other Requirements: Code of Conduct, Vulnerability Sector Check,and 2 References.
