Organization Description: Canadian Blood Services is a not-for-profit, charitable organization. Its sole mission is to manage the blood supply for Canadians. Canadian patients depend on us to manage a safe, secure, and cost-effective blood system. We bring quality to every aspect of our work: from collecting, testing, and manufacturing blood, blood components and stem cells to knowledge creation and dissemination to conducting ground-breaking research.
Volunteer Activities/Duties: We are currently seeking energetic, outgoing volunteers to help out at our in-community events and help bring awareness to Canadian Blood Services and the need for blood. This could be putting up posters, setting up events, street roving, info tables, etc. We also look for help at our blood donor clinic's at MUN in our hospitality area.
Commitment: 2 hours per work. We ask that you commit to our organization for at least one year.
Orientation and Training: About 1-2 hours of training.
