MUN Stem Cell Club
MUN Stem Cell Club aims to recruit ethnically diverse donors for the stem cell registry. In doing so, students, staff, and other faculty at Memorial University are able to collaborate together to help thousands of Canadian patients who are in need of a donation to find a potentially life-saving match. We offer volunteer opportunities, leadership opportunities, outreach, collaboration, social media experience, networking, involvement with administrative tasks, and engagement with MUNSU and other clubs and societies.
The purpose of this Chapter is to make a difference nationally with increasing the registry for more donations. Undergraduate students will be able to sign up as donors themselves after getting a full run-down of the process, making them potential life-savers, or they can volunteer with us to learn about such an important cause here in Canada. It will aid in teaching students the importance of donation for health purposes.
