MUN Campus Lions

The Lions Club is an international Humanitarian group whose main goal is To Create and foster a spirit of understanding among the peoples of the world. The Lions Clubs support 8 global causes which are: Vision, Hunger, Diabetes, Cancer, Environment, Disaster Relief, Humanitarian and Youth. The MUN lions club currently focuses on the hunger pillar with our main project being a food drive we run once a month at the Coleman’s at Merrymeeting road. We collect non-perishables which are donated to the Newfoundland Food Sharing Association who distributes the donations to Food Banks in need around Newfoundland.

Volunteer Duties: Members are expected to attend our monthly meetings to get updates from our executive members to receive updates and sign up to help out in our current and future campaigns. Our long term campaign is to help fundraise for the Community Food Sharing Association which helps collect and buy non-perishables for the food banks around Newfoundland including the Memorial University Food Bank. These food banks are essential for those in need including students!

Commitment: Commitment for regular members is to attend meetings once a month in which they can pitch ideas on how to grow our Campus club community, future campaigns(whether it’s to help with our long term campaign or to raise the spirits of students by having events like game nights to assisting new students with getting their necessities like winter jackets or books)

Registration: To sign up you can send us a message on any of our social media or send us and email at muncampuslions2023@gmail.com so we can invite you to our next meeting.
