Commitment and milestones

The concept of environmental sustainability is not recent or unfamiliar at Memorial. Over the decades the university has had an enduring and advancing series of sustainability milestones that have evolved into a significant legacy. From the St. John’s campus, Grenfell Campus, Marine Institute, Harlow campus, Labrador Institute and Signal Hill Campus, a multitude of collective and individual sustainable adaptions and developments have emerged through the work of both Memorial’s internal community and external collaborators. 

Current momentous advancements include Memorial’s Sustainability Declaration, Water Pledge, and Climate Crisis Pledge, among many.
