Education
Our program provides comprehensive training in General Pediatrics, fully accredited by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. As residents advance through their training, they gain increasing levels of independence, equipping them with the full range of skills required to become competent General Pediatricians ready for practice. Graduates of our program are also well-prepared to pursue subspecialty training if desired.
Key strengths of our program include early hands-on experience under close faculty supervision, exposure to a diverse patient population presenting with the full range of general pediatric and subspecialty conditions, and robust simulation training. Additionally, our resident continuity clinic allows trainees to manage their own patients, fostering longer-term clinical relationships. Our revitalized fourth-year curriculum emphasizes leadership development and offers flexibility with elective and selective opportunities, enabling residents to tailor their training to their individual interests. We are a close-knit, supportive community of physicians dedicated to Pediatrics, research, and Medical Education.
