Reporting directly to the president, the vice-president (administration, finance and advancement) leads the administrative portfolio of the university which includes the functional areas of human resources, finance, budgets, technology and information management, facilities, and risk, along with development and alumni engagement,  marketing and communications, and engagement including Office of Public Engagement, Harris Centre, Conference and Events Services and Ancillary Services, the Newfoundland Quarterly, the Botanical Garden and the Johnson Geo Centre.
