DATE: September 25, 2019
Ref. No.: 9
Memorial University and College of the North Atlantic (CNA) are partnering to host the 20th annual Career and Graduate School Fair.
Employers, organizations, government agencies and post-secondary institutions from across North America and abroad will be at the Field House on Memorial University’s St. John’s campus, Wednesday, Sept. 25, from 10 a.m.-4 p.m.
The two post-secondary institutions have collaborated for several years to offer a comprehensive career and graduate school event for students and alumni from both establishments. This is the third year the fair is being held under one roof.
Once again, approximately 100 local, national and international exhibitors will be at the fair. A full list of exhibitors is available here. The event is open to all Memorial and CNA students and alumni who are looking to network with potential employers, searching for career direction or considering furthering their education.
Investing in the future
Jennifer Browne, associate director, Student Life, at Memorial, says the fair is a great opportunity for students and alumni to network and make valuable career connections with employers and professional schools.
“Participants can learn about career and further education prospects, including new graduate positions, summer employment, co-op placements and graduate programs,” said Ms. Browne. “All exhibitors are interested in talking to and recruiting Memorial University and CNA students and alumni. I encourage all students and alumni to invest in their future and drop by to share their many skills and talents with recruiters.”
Elizabeth (Libby) Chaulk, vice-president, Student Engagement, CNA, says CNA is thrilled to partner with Memorial to provide students and alumni with an opportunity to explore career opportunities and create meaningful connections with prospective employers and graduate schools.
“The fair is an ideal venue for students and graduates to interact personally with industry leaders who will showcase their respective organizations in search of future employees," she said. "With more than 100 exhibitors waiting to meet our students and graduates, this is an excellent opportunity for participants to make a lasting impression while exploring and promoting exciting career possibilities.”
Admission to the Memorial and CNA Career and Graduate School Fair is free. Students and alumni are reminded that they will be required to show their university ID cards at the door.
