SUBJECT: Genesis company signs up Bluedrop to virtual health-care platform
DATE: June 5, 2020
Cyno, a Genesis company, has signed a service agreement with Bluedrop Performance Learning Inc.
The virtual health-care startup will provide services to approximately 200 employees in the investment holding company’s St. John’s, N.L., and Halifax, N.S., offices on its corporate health-care platform.
The Cyno platform enables users to find, book, and receive virtual health-care services with their devices, ranging from doctors and pharmacists to yoga instructors and registered dietitians.
“We are very pleased to offer our employees access to Cyno’s virtual health-care platform,” said Kim Wettlaufer, senior director, human resources, Bluedrop. “There is a wide range of self-serve options available and feedback from employees has been very positive.”
Besides livestream video, chat messaging and document/photo/video sharing options, employees can search the platform to find the right provider that will be most meaningful to their own personal health and wellness journey – all the more valuable given current public health restrictions requiring many people to work from home.
“This agreement with Bluedrop is an example of the flexibility and appealing array of options that our service offers to companies,” said Peter Barbour, CEO, Cyno.
Cyno’s virtual health-care platform stands out among other livestreaming services with its strict security and data privacy compliance, allowing healthcare providers to connect with patients over encrypted video chat.
“On our platform,” said Mr. Barbour, “personal health information is completely insulated. Nobody can access it or be exposed to it apart from the provider a patient is actually seeing and talking to on the platform.”
