SUBJECT: PSA: Sharing the Stage: Memorial University and the Arts Community in NL
DATE: October 22, 2018
From CODCO and the Burning Rock Collective, to the Opera Roadshow and a new initiative to support arts entrepreneurs, the connections between Memorial University and the arts community in this province are deep and longstanding.
Those connections will be the topic of a conversation being presented by Newfoundland Quarterly on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial’s new Signal Hill Campus. Dr. Noreen Golfman will host a lively discussion between Andy Jones, Pam Hall, Greg Malone, Melissa Barbeau and Ian Sutherland, as they share memories, stories and ideas for the future.
The event is part of People, Place and Public Engagement, a conference about community-university collaboration. Tickets are $10 with all proceeds supporting NL artists and writers through NQonline.ca.
Full details are available at NQonline.ca.
