SUBJECT: Memorial's business faculty to announce significant donation from family of Dr. Melvin Woodward

On Friday, Oct. 27, the Faculty of Business Administration will announce a significant donation from the family of the late Dr. Melvin Woodward to support aspiring and current student entrepreneurs at Memorial University.
The donation will be directed toward an annual student business competition, currently held by the Memorial Centre for Entrepreneurship (MCE). The competition will help existing or aspiring student entrepreneurs develop innovative business ideas while also fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship at Memorial.
The gift will be announced during a special ceremony taking place from 10 a.m.-12 p.m. at the RBC Atrium in the Faculty of Business Administration, located on Morrissey Drive. Dr. Gary Kachanoski, president and vice-chancellor of Memorial, as well as members of the Woodward family, students, faculty members, university officials and other special guests will be in attendance.
Parking is available in lot 22. Members of the media are invited to attend.
