SUBJECT: Enactus national champions to showcase World Cup presentation today

National champions Enactus Memorial will hold a showcase of its award-winning presentation today at Memorial University in advance of representing Canada at the 2017 Enactus World Cup next week.
The hometown showcase offers supporters and members of the media the opportunity to witness the presentation prior to the world cup, being held this year in London, U.K., from Sept. 26-28.
Enactus Memorial is the defending world champion and the most successful team in Canada with 10 national titles. It’s the only Canadian team to have ever won the world cup, which they did in 2008 and 2016.
The showcase begins at 5:30 p.m. in Innovation Hall (IIC-2001) at the Bruneau Centre for Research and Innovation. Premier Dwight Ball and Memorial President Dr. Gary Kachanoski are expected to speak at the event.
Parking is available in lot 17 and admission is free. A reception will follow.
Enactus is an international non-profit organization that mobilizes university students around the world to develop community outreach projects that improve the quality of life and standard of living for people in need. Universities and colleges from across the world compete in regional and national competitions for the chance to demonstrate the impact of their outreach projects at the world championship each year.
